Hi! My name is Anastasio but you can call me Tacho…, not Taco, Taa-chow.

I am a freelance tour guide and have been working in the tourism industry for over 29 years, and as an official tour guide for over 10 years! I am a native from the state of Quintanaroo (situated on the southeast of Mexico at the Yucatan Peninsula), and my first language is Maya; Jach ki’imak in wóol in wilikech (Pleased to meet you!) but I am also fluent in Portuguese and English. I am very proud of my heritage and love sharing all I know about it’s ancient peoples, cultures, history, art, archeology and unique traditions and of course sitting down together to enjoy it´s distinctive and exquisite food and drinks!

I also love learning about the cultures of those I meet! All my years travelling and speaking around this beautiful country has helped me to become knowledgeable, versatile, flexible and of course always professional. I am able to lead groups of any size as well as more intimate and/or tailor-made tours for families and corporate events (team building and conventions).
