This trip starts with a swim with dolphins’ program in Isla Mujeres, our captain will set sail to the wonderful island of Isla Mujeres, in the mean time you will enjoy a continental breakfast on board. After you arrive to this beautiful Island of Women you will feel the excitement of the real experience, adventure and excitement “Swim Adventure Program” to realize how wonderful swimming with dolphins can be, maybe a life changing experience! A delicious lunch buffet is included and our exquisite and refreshing drinks are available at our domestic open bar.
In the pre-Hispanic historical part, we will take a tour of the Mayan archaeological zones of Tulum, a Mayan Site located on a cliff overlooking the sea and controlled the maritime trade route in the Yucatan peninsula in the post-Classic period. Chichen Itza named one of the seven wonders of the modern world will be our second Mayan site to visit it’ s architecture mixed with the Toltec culture makes this place a fascinating and impressive Mayan archaeological site.
A fun and exciting and adventure by boat will take us to know one of the most important estuaries of the state of Yucatan known as Celestun, a place where lives a great variety of flamingos where we will enter into their natural habitat and learn more about their way of life. This trip ends with a visit to one of the most important colonial cities in the state of Yucatan called Izamal visited by Pope John Paul II in 1987, a pre-Hispanic Mayan site, and at the arrival of the Spaniards it became one of the first important Catholic religious centers in the Yucatan peninsula finally built by the priest Diego de Landa who imposed by force the acceptance of the Catholic religion to the Mayan natives of the area, know also one of the largest convents in all Mexico and only compare with the square of San Pedro in the Vatican called the Exconvento de San Antonio de Padua a place full of history.
Swimming with dolphins (swim adventure) on Isla mujeres Island, a great experience with these funtastic animals including free time after your activitie for swimming and shopping on the island.
A sightseeing activitie at the mayan ruins of Tulum with a fantastic view of the caribean sea with a professional tour guide who will explain the importancie of this prehispanic mayan port, located on a Cliff overlooking the watter.
Then we continue for a great snorkeling tour on a shallow watter to admire the underwatter life full with multi color fishes who belong to the second biggest coral reef after Australia.
Early departure to visit Chichen Itza the Ancient capital of the Mayan Empire and learn why it has been designated as one of the modern 7 wonders of the world. After this guided activity we continue to the capital of the state of yucatan Merida a colonial city founded in 1546 by Fransisco de Montejo.
Overnite in Merida
Today we leave early to the Celestún estuary, a paradise located in the state of Yucatán that every nature lover has to visit. It is one of the richest ecological reserves in species, dunes, mangroves, etc. However, one of its greatest attractions is the sighting of flamingos. After visiting the estuary, we will stop at the beach club to have lunch (not included), relax and swim.
Return to the hotel for a walk along the main boulevard AV. Paseo de Montejo and Zócalo in the city of Merida.
Overnite in Merida
As the last day, we will visit two fascinating places:
- Izamal mixes the past with the present, which comes from the word itzmal (dew from the sky), is a city painted yellow. We will also visit the exconvento de San Antonio de Padua, a place visited by Pope Juan Pablo 2º in 1987.
- Our second visit of the day is cobá, walking in this Mayan site is to feel in other times in an inhospitable place, this city called coba is a largest pre-Hispanic Mayan settlement in the yucatan peninsula and is only comparable with Chichen Itzá. Its name has several meanings: abundant water, or choppy water referring to 5 lakes that supplied the metropolis. It has white roads called “sacbes” palatial complexes and the highest pyramid in the Yucatan peninsula called “Nohoch Mul” with 42 metters height and with the opportunitie to climb it.
